THE EVENT: October 26, 2019 at Muncie Central High School
A one-day event with teams competing to pull a fully loaded fire truck weighing 74,000 lbs. It’s the ultimate tug-of-war challenge and a great team building event.
THE CAUSE: Unified Sports and Special Olympics of Indiana
According to the Special Olympics of Indiana website, “Champions Together is a collaborative partnership between the Indiana High School Athletic Association and Special Olympics Indiana that promotes servant leadership among student athletes while changing their lives as well as the lives of those with intellectual disabilities.” All proceeds from the event go to support Champions Together and Muncie Central Unified Athletics, allowing student athletes with intellectual disabilities to compete in 3 different IHSAA sports: Bocce, Bowling, and Track and Field.
Each team will consist of a maximum of 10 people. All participants must sign a waiver of liability. Each team donates at least $100 to compete. The team can raise money through hosting fundraisers, individual pledges, corporate or union sponsorships.
THE REGISTRATION PROCESS
To register your team for the Fire Truck Pull, complete the “Team Registration Form”. Please have each individual that is participating complete and sign the release and waiver of liability form. Register your team before October 21, 2019. Registration must include the minimum $100 team registration fee. Additional funds collected may be turned in on the day of the event. Teams may register after deadline for $150. Late money is due by October 26 before the competition with completed registration packet.
