Meet Recap

The Bearcat ladies swam well against good competition on Saturday in Warsaw. The highest placing swimmer for the Bearcats was Kayla Beaty who placed 6th in the 200 free and 500 free despite not feeling well on Saturday. Chloe Townsend swam her first 27 in the 50 free this season equaling her sectional time from last season. Chloe also continued to swim fast in the 100 freestyle and is now 2 seconds ahead of last year’s fastest time. Shelby Murphy dropped 2 seconds in her 100 backstroke as well. Katlyn Tracy had a great meet going under 2:50 in the 200 IM and having solid swims all day.
Freshmen Jade Clasby and Tara Horst continued to be valuable additions to the Bearcats. Both swimmers continue to provide 50 freestyle relay splits under 30 seconds and solid 100 freestyles on the relays as well. Tara has placed well in the 100 breastroke while Jade has looked good in the backstroke as well.
Finally, Olivia Phillips had an action packed day swimming the 200 medley relay, 200 IM, and 50 free for the Bearcats in Warsaw,IN, and then traveling to Shelby Co., KY as part of the Bearcat cheerleading squad. She truly went the extra mile for the Bearcats Saturday.
